Self-Esteem

Self-Esteem

A word from your Mental Health Coordinator on Self Esteem: Our self-esteem is shaped not only by our own perceptions and expectations, but also by the perceptions and expectations of significant people in our lives- how we are thought of and treated by parents, teachers and friends. The closer our perceived self (how we see our self) comes to our ideal self (how we would like to be), the higher our self-esteem.
