Hi! I am Ms. Britt Mitchell. I am very excited about teaching AP Biology and Anatomy for the first time this year. I also am love teaching PreAp Biology and Basic Biology. I have been a part of the Wellborn community my whole life. My parents graduated From Wellborn in 1963, I graduated from Wellborn on 1987, and my son , Jake Johnson is a 2013 Wellborn graduate. My daughter is a sophomore here too. So my Panther roots run deep. 

     I earned  my  bs and ms degree in secondary education in Biology and English from Jacksonville State University. However, Biology is my favorite subject ! This is my twenty-seventh year of teaching. The first six years of my teaching career were at Saks High School and the last twenty one years have been here at home at Wellborn. I am the majorette sponsor. I was very proud and excited to help bring back majorettes to the Marching Highlander Band. I look forward to buildinng the majorette program over the upcoming years. I have worked with some very talented , hard working girls over the past two years. 

   I believe my first job as a teacher is to teach and mold students into being responsible , happy, adults. I hope they take away life lessons from my classroom as well as the biology material I teach them. I learn from my students just as they learn from me.
