This is my 19th year at Saks Elementary, and there is no place I'd rather be teaching. I am excited for another year in 2nd grade.  I attended Jacksonville State University, where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  I love science, especially Earth sciences and STEM activities.  I am passionate about getting and keeping my 2nd graders reading and increasing their love of reading.  I look forward to hearing my students share their mathematical thinking this year.

I am originally from Hokes Bluff, Alabama.   In my free time, I enjoy hiking, exploring & photographing nature, studying weather, taking road trips, shelling, and rescuing cats.  I have 1 naughty puppy named Cleo, and your children will likely come home telling you "Bad Dog" stories about her.
