Welcome!  My name is Summer Bagwell Brooks and I am excited to be teaching English 9 and English 7 for the 2022-23 school year.  This is my 22nd year in education.  I am originally from Arab, Alabama and a 1996 graduate of Arab High School.  I graduated cum laude from Jacksonville State University in 2000 with a B.S. in Secondary Education English Language Arts.  I obtained my M.S. in Secondary Education ELA from JSU in 2002 and my Educational Specialist degree from JSU in 2005.  I have been teaching at Walter Wellborn High School since 2001.

I am married to Wes Brooks and we have two daughters - Sawyer Adisson and Skylar Avery.  I enjoy reading, traveling, attending sporting events, and keeping up with my girls and all their activities.  I am an avid Alabama fan (Roll Tide) and I love to spend time at the beach and at Disney World with my family.
